Magic Beans

There is something very magical about seeds; a Jack-in-the-Beanstalk potential compressed into the tiniest of modules. When our life is stagnating, its good to plant seeds both literally and metaphorically. The care and nurture of these tiny life-capsules into blooming beauties, helps us to understand how our own life can be changed dramatically by small acts and how very often something can blossom where you least expect it, the seeds having been carried on the wind to a most unlikely location.

When we feel that we need to change our situation but we don’t know quite how to do it, it can help to imagine ourselves with a wonderfully various handful of seeds. In our mind’s eye, we cast them liberally across the world trusting to fate to bring forth surprising events on all sides. Then with that in mind, we set about trying to do the same in our everyday life: taking every opportunity to make a micro-step in a new direction - just one tiny nudge on each of our life’s projects that will get them inching forward again.

PLANT AND WAIT
Perhaps our ‘problems’ are most easily resolved when, instead of worrying about them, we simply open ourselves to a solution and wait for the appropriate time for that solution to be enacted. Some would say that that is too passive but the ‘opening’ is the proactive part, the moment of planting our magic beans, and then the rest is like waiting for the seeds to germinate, watering and feeding them as necessary and knowing the correct moment to harvest the crop.
